Burn Times:

  • 3″x3″ — 65-80 hours

  • 3″x6″ — up to 150 hours
  • Votives — 12-20 hours
  • Mini Pillar — 15 hours indoors
After unwrapping your candle, make sure to read the brief safety instructions on the bottom.

When you place your candle on the plate, ensure that no flammable materials (i.e. curtains) are within proximity.

The first burn is the most important, as it sets the life of the candle. The first burn should be for at least three hours and run no longer than four hours.

Each consecutive burn should ideally be three to four hours. Burning a candle for less than the recommended time causes tunneling. This will shorten the life of the candle, making it unable to burn in the future.

It is important to trim the wick to 1/4″ before each lighting. If the wick becomes too long it can cause the candle to “break-out.” If this happens, extinguish immediately and allow to cool. Relight once the candle has reached room temperature and the wick is trimmed.

And additional helpful tip: During burning, turn the candle a 1/4″ turn in the same direction each hour. This alters the air currents around the candle and gives it a longer life!

When you place votives in votive holders, try using these tricks to enjoy a better & easier life for your votives.
  1. The tighter the sides of the votive holder the longer your votives will last. This is because votives have a slight taper to them and will break out after a while. They need the holder to be as tight as possible to increase their life.
  2. When you decide to burn a votive, put in two drops of water then place the votive in the holder and light immediately! Don’t wait.
  3. When the votive finally goes out due to the safety wick, allow the residual wax to harden.
  4. You can then turn the holder over and pop it out on a firm surface.
  5. The water keeps the wax from adhering to the glass. As a result, you do not have to battle with the wax to get it out of the votive holder. You’re welcome!
